Coronavirus Update:76% of Maharashtra cases from Mumbai; India tally at 96169


India update: With 5,242 new cases, India has recorded its highest single-day jump in its number of total coronavirus cases. The country's tally has risen to 96,169. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 3,029 people have died from the disease and 36,824 have recovered so far. From today, India enters the fourth phase of its nationwide lockdown. Restrictions under Section 144 of CRPC have been extended for the next three months in Chhattisgarh.
 
District-wise details of the new lockdown phase, in force till May 31, will be announced today. Lockdown 4.0 comes with some relaxations to pave the way for an increased movement of people and to facilitate more economic activity. 

Meanwhile, India has backed calls to identify how the Sars-CoV-2 virus that causes Covid-19 was transmitted from animals to humans and conduct an ‘impartial’ evaluation of the World Health Organization’s (WHO's) response to the pandemic, according to a draft resolution proposed for the WHO’s annual meet beginning today

भारत अपडेट: 5,242 नए मामलों के साथ, भारत ने कुल कोरोनावायरस मामलों में अपनी सबसे अधिक एकल-दिवसीय छलांग दर्ज की है। देश की टैली 96,169 तक पहुंच गई है। स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय के अनुसार, बीमारी से 3,029 लोग मारे गए हैं और 36,824 लोग अब तक ठीक हो चुके हैं। आज से, भारत अपने राष्ट्रव्यापी लॉकडाउन के चौथे चरण में प्रवेश करता है। छत्तीसगढ़ में अगले तीन महीनों के लिए सीआरपीसी की धारा 144 के तहत प्रतिबंध बढ़ा दिए गए हैं।
 
31 मई तक लागू होने वाले नए लॉकडाउन चरण के जिलेवार विवरण आज घोषित किए जाएंगे। लॉकडाउन 4.0 कुछ आराम के साथ आता है जो लोगों के बढ़ते आंदोलन का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता है और अधिक आर्थिक गतिविधि को सुविधाजनक बनाता है।

इस बीच, भारत ने कॉव -19 वायरस का कारण बनने वाले SARS-CoV-2  वायरस की पहचान करने के लिए जानवरों को मनुष्यों से प्रेषित करने और विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन (डब्लूएचओ) के 'महामारी' के मूल्यांकन के बारे में बताया है। डब्लूएचओ की वार्षिक बैठक के लिए प्रस्तावित प्रस्ताव का मसौदा आज से शुरू होगा।
