Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday said that the economic activities in the country can not be blocked for a long time and the lock down should be limited to containment zones with strict implementation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a meeting with chief ministers to discuss the road ahead for a lock down exit strategy. This is the fifth such meeting of Modi with the chief ministers ever since the country entered into lock down to contain the spread of corona virus.
They discussed ways to strengthen the COVID-19 containment strategy and stepping up of economic activities in a calibrated manner as the 54-day nationwide lock down nears an end.
Meanwhile, PM Modi also said that economic activities in several parts of the country have picked up and that the process will further gather steam.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी लॉकडाउन से बाहर निकलने की रणनीति के लिए आगे की सड़क पर चर्चा करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्रियों के साथ बैठक कर रहे हैं। देश में मुख्यमंत्रियों के साथ मोदी की यह पांचवीं बैठक है, जिसमें देश में कोरोनावायरस के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए प्रवेश किया गया था।


उन्होंने COVID-19 नियंत्रण रणनीति को मजबूत करने और 54 दिनों के राष्ट्रव्यापी तालाबंदी के रूप में एक कैलिब्रेटेड तरीके से आर्थिक गतिविधियों को आगे बढ़ाने के तरीकों पर चर्चा की।

इस बीच, पीएम मोदी ने यह भी कहा कि देश के कई हिस्सों में आर्थिक गतिविधियां शुरू हो गई हैं और यह प्रक्रिया आगे भाप इकट्ठा करेगी।
