Visakhapatnam Gas Leak: FIR lodged against LG Polymers| विशाखापत्तनम गैस रिसाव: एलजी पॉलिमर के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज |

The death toll in gas leak at a chemical plant of LG Polymers at RR Venkatapuram village in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district climbed to 11 on Thursday (July 7). Over 1,000 people have been affected, some of them critically, due to the gas leak at the chemical plant at around 2:30 AM.
Footages of the incident show many people lying unconscious on the roads near the chemical plant. Some people can be seen wearing masks and helping those who are showing signs of difficulty in breathing.
Government sources said that gas, believed to be styrene, has been neutralised and NDRF team has reached the spot to evacuate the villagers from nearby areas. It is learnt that the maximum impact of the gas leak was in about 1-1.5 km but smell was in 2-2.5 km. RK Meena, CP Visakhapatnam City said that an FIR has been registered.

आंध्र प्रदेश के विशाखापत्तनम जिले के आरआर वेंकटपुरम गांव में एलजी पॉलिमर के एक रासायनिक संयंत्र में गैस रिसाव से मृत्यु गुरुवार (7 मई) को 11 हो गई।  रासायनिक संयंत्र में लगभग 2:30 बजे गैस रिसाव के कारण 1,000 से अधिक लोग प्रभावित हुए हैं।
घटना के तस्वीर में कई लोग रासायनिक संयंत्र के पास सड़कों पर बेहोश पड़े हैं।  कुछ लोगों को मास्क पहने हुए देखा जा सकता है और जो सांस लेने में कठिनाई के लक्षण दिखा रहे हैं, उनकी मदद करते हैं।
सरकारी सूत्रों ने कहा कि गैस, जिसे स्टाइलिन माना जाता है, को बेअसर कर दिया गया है और एनडीआरएफ की टीम आसपास के इलाकों से ग्रामीणों को निकालने के लिए मौके पर पहुंच गई है।  यह पता चला है कि गैस रिसाव का अधिकतम प्रभाव लगभग 1-1.5 किमी पर था लेकिन गंध 2-2.5 किमी में था।  आरके मीणा, सीपी विशाखापत्तनम सिटी ने कहा कि एक प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई है।
